Go Hard Or Go Home

Christmas is over and you know what that means. NYE is here. In my opinion there is only one place to be to ring in 2010, The Hollywood Paladium. Destructo, founder of Nitrus and HARD has assembled an A-class lineup for this epic holiday. Joining headliner Boys Noize will be the always impressive A-Trak as well as French electro icon Dj Medhi. Here are some tracks by the artists to get you ready to go HARD. Enjoy.

Child Prodigy?

SonicC is the newest member of the Dim Mak team. At the young and ripe age of 18 his work has already earned big room play by some of the worlds biggest Dj's. He currently resides in Miami but has also been seen running around LA a lot recently. Most notable sighting was his performance at Dim Mak Tuesdays earlier this month. Below I've supplied his newest production as well as an official remix he did for Laidback Luke. Both are absolute heaters which makes me excited for the future of this big time youngster.

I Love The Bloody Beetroots

The Bloody Beetroots are far and above my favorite electro artists right now. Their beats are so dirty that at times it's difficult to actually find the musical aspect of their work. Their latest release is "Christmas Vendetta, Spares of Romborama." It's a short ep, only three tracks, and consists of songs that didn't quite make the cut for their full length album. I'm providing the entire ep here on Hitman For Hire as a sample. If you like what you hear, please support The Bloody Beetroots and buy Christmas Vendetta on either itunes or Beatport. Thanks.

Play The Record Again

AC Slater, master of wobbly bass, has done it again. His new release combines smooth beats with hilarious vocals about raving. I love the approach. Drugs are not necessary for enjoying electro or electronic music as a whole. I'm hopeful that artists like this can help push that point across. If so we can hear more electronic music at smaller venues without a bunch of underage kids with glow sticks. Because we all know, glow sticks are bad for the environment. Okay.

Dirty Electro Jack

Dutch Dj Afrojack has made quite an impression lately. His newest remixes, along with his David Guetta collaborations, have been amazing. His ear rattling style makes his tracks perfect for any Dj looking to blow the roof off of any venue.

Here are three of his more recent remixes. I especially like "Sexy Bitch." Afrojack does a great job putting Akon on the back burner and putting his beats right up front and in your face. Enjoy.

Nobody Gets Out Alive!

Atlanta based producer Dylan Elland, commonly known as Le Castle Vania, has done it again. His new electro rock banger "Nobody Gets Out Alive" is tearing through the blogs, and up the Hype Machine charts.

This rugged track is one of my favorites since his collaboration with Computer Club on "The Messiah." It combines beautiful synths with a heavy bass line and is perfect for either dancing or rocking out. If you ever have the opportunity to see Le Castle Vania perform live, I suggest you do so. He will not disappoint. I guarantee it.

Weekends In Hollywood Are For Freeway and Suburb Kids

Tomorrow night is slated to be one of the biggest Dim Mak Tuesdays of the year. But the birthday bash of Dim Mak founder Steve Aoki doesn't come without speculation. Cinespace has hosted a number of special guests on past Tuesday nights such as Thomas Bangalter, A-Trak, and The Bloody Beetroots. So the question is raised, who will be there rocking the decks tomorrow?

It's questions like this that make weeknights in LA far better than the weekends. You just never know what you're going to get. With that being said, I'm real pumped for tomorrow night and I leave you with Aoki's latest work. First is his new remix of Kid Cudi's, Pursuit of Happiness, second is his remix of Drake's, Forever. Both showcase Aoki's signature style. Enjoy.
